Local accountancy firm Millward, May & Co marked a significant milestone this month: 10 years of serving Wokingham’s business community.
To celebrate, the team hosted an evening at Wokingham Town Hall, bringing together clients, colleagues, family, and friends – including a special appearance by the Mayor of Wokingham. The evening also raised £1,000 for Building for the Future, a local charity supporting children with disabilities.
During the event, co-founders Emma and Ryan reflected on the firm’s journey over the past decade. From starting as a two-person operation, they now employ seven team members and have an office in The Overhangs on Peach Street. “It’s been a challenging but rewarding 10 years,” said Emma. “This milestone has given us a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come and recognise the hard work of our team.”
The firm shared notable achievements, including submitting close to 1,000 company accounts, putting nine apprentices through AAT and ACA accountancy qualifications, and receiving over 100 five-star Google reviews.
Millward, May & Co has focused on supporting business owners in Wokingham and beyond. By providing tailored advice and services, they’ve helped local businesses grow and thrive. This client-centric approach has made them much more than accountants—they’re trusted partners in their clients’ success stories.
The evening featured refreshments, a raffle, and entertainment, with local photographer Charlotte Aries capturing the event. The charity raffle proceeds will support Building for the Future, a long-standing partner of the firm since their first fundraiser in 2017.
As the evening drew to a close, Emma and Ryan expressed their gratitude to their clients, team members, and the Wokingham community. “We wouldn’t be here without the support of everyone in this room,” Ryan said. “Here’s to the next decade”.
