Wargrave’s Debbie McGee had a monster fun time on Strictly this week, receiving three perfect 10s from the judges and was crowned queen of Latin in the process.
The BBC Berkshire presenter sailed through her Charleston with partner Giovanni Pernice.
The duo, like all Strictly contestants, were dressed up in spooky costumes to dance to Sister Sledge’s 80s hit Frankie.
Their dance was a massive hit with the judges.
Bruno said: “Debbie, Giovanni, I’m bitterly disappointed – there was nothing horrible about that! You were brilliant.”
And that was echoed by Shirley Ballas – who is coming to Woodley this Thursday to give a class.
She said that Debbie deserved her crown of Queen of Latin for the dance steps.
The couple received three 10s and one nine for their efforts, putting them at the top of the show’s leaderboard – it should be no surprise that they sailed through the public vote off.
Afterwards, the pair were quizzed by Claudia Winkleman who wanted to know what Giovanni had planed for the week ahead: Debbie’s birthday is on Tuesday, and her dancing partner promised that he had a smashing present for her but “it will be a lovely surprise”.
