Wokingham Festival has announced more acts for its 2025 edition with early bird tickets still on sale for a short time.

The latest additions to an already exciting line‐up include Ruby Dawn, Mike Lemin, Tasia, Cold July and The Bluepers.

Ruby Dawn featured in the top 10 best bands in Prog magazine’s readers’ poll for 2024. The

Mike Lemin band cover everything from Space travel, being trapped in the Matrix, and living the dystopian dream, to detailing the ballad of Jack & Rose from the movie Titanic. Tasia is a pop rock artist on her way up, fresh from sold‐out shows in London. Cold July are a new pop/indie folk band from Guildford, and their lead singer Luke Fyfe is from Wokingham.

The Bluepers are a rock band from Reading who play bluesy original songs, with catchy hooks and a lively sense of humour; sometimes they’ll play Johnny B Goode.

The family‐friendly festival which champions quality music and showcases local bands is back again this August Bank Holiday weekend. There is a great selection of food, beer, and stalls to browse, plus entertainment for the younger ones.

There are more than 40 artists appearing across the weekend, with talent from across the borough and much further afield. As always, there is a great breadth of musical genres covered, with bands both old and new, the common factor being the high quality.

Headliners on the main stage are Our Own Way ‐ A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac on Saturday, and A Head Full of Coldplay on Sunday, on the marquee stage, China Bears on Saturday and Bonnie and the Jets on Sunday.

Other acts announced include Puma Theory, China Bears, Selina and the Howlin Dogs, Red Hoax Chili Peppers, Verdagears and The Stretch.

The Monday line‐up continues to have a flavour of Prog and Classic Rock, with the Tom Robinson Band headlining on the main stage, plus Prog magazine’s Best Band of 2024, Solstice, and the John Hackett Band. On the marquee stage, The Dead Can Wait, Leonie Jakobi and AlphaLine have been announced.

Early Bird tickets are now on sale for a few more days, and prices are held at the same as last year.

Early Bird Prices:

£19 per day

£47.50 for a weekend ticket

Discounted tickets available for under 18s

Kids under 8 go FREE!

There’s more to Wokingham Festival than just the music though. Children are welcome, and as always, there will be a number of activities available to keep them amused, and of course there will be a range of food and drink stands in addition to the drinks tent.

The real ale bar will stock a wide selection of specialist craft beers, ciders and perries from local and national breweries, and there will also be a variety of cocktails and other drinks for adults and children.

Dean Nelson, Festival Organiser said: “It’s been great to see the reputation of the Festival grow as we have upgraded the second stage to accommodate full bands and promote exciting local original artists, along with the third, prog‐rock‐themed, day bringing in acts you would not expect to see in a field in Wokingham.”

Early Bird Tickets for Wokingham Festival are excellent value and are now on sale for just a little longer and may be purchased via the web site at www.wokinghamfestival.co.uk
