An accident involving a car and a motorbike saw a man flown to hospital by air ambulance on Friday, March 31. It took place on the Wokingham Road, Earley.
Police closed the road in both directions to enable them to investigate the incident, which took place around 8.20pm.
Eyewitnesses were interviewed and the injured man was treated at the roadside before being taken by ambulance to hospital.
Thames Valley Police said that a black Yamaha motorcycle which was travelling in Wokingham Road, towards Winnersh, was involved in a collision with a grey Vauxhall Adam car travelling in the opposite direction.
The collision took place at the Wokingham Road’s junction with Amber Close.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old man from Reading, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious leg, arm and neck injuries, where he remains in a serious condition.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road remained closed for the rest of Friday evening and police put a diversion in place.
