The first allotment facility for Arborfield and Newland Parish Council has opened.
Located on Quiller Avenue, Arborfield, the new site offers 36 plots, parking, composting bays, a traditional orchard, solar-powered tools, a picnic area and even a composting toilet.
This allotment facility was delivered by developer Crest Nicholson as part of the Arborfield Strategic Development.
A spokesperson for Wokingham borough council said: “It’s just one of several we’ve helped bring forward through new developments, now managed by town and parish councils for local residents to enjoy.”
