THE MAYOR of Wokingham attended a launch event to mark the opening of a new 43-home development in Arborfield.
Cllr Beth Rowland joined housebuilder Taylor Wimpey and members of the village’s community to celebrate the opening of The Rowcrofts development, located on the old Arborfield Garrison site.
Representatives from Arborfield & Newland Parish Council were also in attendance, as well as Berkshire home hunters, who were given the opportunity to view the new show homes at the development, speak to the Taylor Wimpey sales team and walk around the site.
Gemma Bibby, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey West London, said: “It was great to welcome members of the Arborfield community, including the Mayor and members of the parish council, to The Rowcrofts for the first time.
“It was nice to have the opportunity to celebrate the community we’ve created with our new neighbours, and with some of our Taylor Wimpey colleagues, who’ve put in all the hard work that’s made this new development possible.
“I’d like to thank them all for attending and making our specially organised launch event a day to remember.”
The development contains three and four bedroom homes, with house prices starting at £549,950.
A number of incentives are in place to help buyers who are interested in moving to the development, including Easymover, armed forces discount and a stamp duty payment.
