A NEW piece of kit can now be used by children at one of the town’s playgrounds.
Elms Field play area’s colourful new trampoline has been moved to a different location within the playground.
Installed by Wokingham Town Council, the replacement aparatus is fully accessible.
Where the previous trampoline was located, is now a hopscotch, installed as part of resurfacing work.
Councillor Tony Lack, Chairman of Wokingham Town Council Amenities Committee, said: “We are delighted to be re-introducing a fully accessible trampoline into Elms Field.
“It needed to be relocated, and we chose to add some colour to the jump mat, to stimulate children’s imagination.
“We know this is a popular play item and hope it provides many hours of fun in the park.
“As the old trampoline site had to be resurfaced, we took the opportunity to add a hopscotch as part of the design.”
Elms Field Park playground is located in the centre of town.
It is fully fenced, and contains mostly wooden equipment sited on a rubber surface.
As well as aparatus for older children, there is also a toddler area, and picnic tables and benches for parents to watch their children.
