A NEW ice cream parlour based in Wokingham town centre will be opening its doors to customers tomorrow, Saturday, January 22.
Dessert Maid, on Central Walk, will be serving its first customers at noon.
Jagdeep Singh, the shop’s owner, is offering a free tub of gelato ice cream to visitors on the day.
“Opening a dessert shop in the middle of winter may seem odd, but we’re serving hot drinks and waffles too so they’ll be something for everyone,” he said.
The shop — described as a dessert café — will also be serving up its gelato in milkshakes, crepes, and in scoops.
“We’ve kept the interior laid back, so that it’s family friendly,” Mr Singh said.
“Come down, say hello and support a local business.2
