Reading FC has confirmed that Paul Ince has been appointed as manager on a permanent basis.
Ince joined the Royals in February on an interim basis until the end of the season in which he helped the club avoid Championship relegation.
Under his tenure, the Royals won four of his 14 matches in charge, including a memorable away victory at Sheffield United followed by an incredible comeback from 4-1 down to take a point at home to Swansea City with vital stoppage time goals from Tom McIntyre in both games.
Reading finished the 2021/22 campaign in 21st place, four points above the drop zone as Peterborough United, Barnsley and Derby County were relegated.
Ince will be joined by assistant manager Alex Rae who also joined the club at the same time to help coach the first-team.
