TWO pet shops in the borough will be holding special workshops for children next week aimed at helping them learn how to care for their pets.
The Creature Care events will be held from Monday, October 22 through to Friday, November 2 at Pets At Home’s Wokingham and Winnersh branches.
They will show children how to care for lots of different pets and teach them about the five welfare needs – shelter, food and water, good health, appropriate company and the right living environment – and even get the chance to interact with some pets in-store.
Alison Slade, store manager at Pets at Home Wokingham said: “Our Creature Care workshops are designed to teach young pet lovers about responsible pet ownership, whilst having lots of fun at the same time.
“Our expert colleagues will offer tips and advice on pet care, whilst making the workshops both interactive and educational – an ideal activity over the half term break!
