As we head into rush hour, many commuters will face delays and disruption to their journeys as a result of Storm Imogen.
For most of the day the south of England, including Wokingham borough, has been battered by gale force winds of up to 70mph. There has also been heavy rain showers causing flooding to the roads and disruption to the railways.
There are delays expected on train services going to and from London this evening – throughout the day commuters have struggled with delays caused by the weather. Speed restrictions are in place and some lines were closed due to fallen trees.
Fallen trees have also caused delays on the borough’s roads today.
One fell down in Church Hill, Hurst this morning.

A tree also fell down in Sindlesham today.

And that’s not all.
There has been more flooding in Sonning.
