READING made it three consecutive home victories with an impressive display against Luton Town at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.
Goals from Michael Morrison and Garath McCleary helped to move Mark Bowen’s side up to 17th position in the Championship table with a game in hand over most sides in the division.
The Royals are now unbeaten in four games since Welshman Bowen replaced former manager Jose Gomes.
Rafael 5: Had almost nothing to do in a convincing display. Pressure soaked up well by the defence in the second half to protect their goalkeeper who only had one save to make in the entire match.
Andy Yiadom 7: Pushed up high as he always does in the wing back role and helped in defence when needed.
Liam Moore 7: Commanded the defence having recovered from a shoulder injury last weekend. Brought the ball out of the defence confidently to start the attack for Reading’s second goal.
Michael Morrison 8: Showed his aerial prowess once again by putting Reading in front from a corner to score his second Championship goal of the season. Looks much more comfortable since Bowen’s arrival.

Matt Miazga 7: Played his part in a comprehensive defensive display from the back three who didn’t allow Luton any clear cut chances to get into the game in a side that have only conceded once in the last three home matches.
Omar Richards 8: His best Reading performance to date. Provided a constant attacking threat down the left and did his defensive duties as well. Won possession back to begin the attack for the second goal with a super sliding tackle. Man of the match display from the 21-year-old.
Andy Rinomhota 7: Busy and energetic in the heart of Reading’s midfield. Mopped up well defensively and distributed the ball forward to help the Royals constantly attack the Hatters in the first half,
John Swift 8: Another superb display from the in form midfielder. Pulled the strings in midfield, showing his range of passing and claimed another assist with the first goal with a dangerous delivery from the corner.

Ovie Ejaria 7: Bagged his third goal of the season with an accurate strike to find the bottom corner from outside the box. Linked well with the front two and his midfield partners before being substituted just after the hour mark for Garath McCleary.
George Puscas 6: Can’t seem to find a consistent run of scoring form. Had a few chances in the game including a close range header which was well saved just before he was replaced by Yakou Meite.
Sam Baldock 7: He’s made a huge difference to the side since being recalled to action by Bowen. Constantly willing to run in behind the opposition defence and caused Luton problems all day with his willingness to press from the front. Had a couple of half chances and forced a decent save from Shea in the first half.
Subs:
Yakou Meite 5: Replaced Puscas in the 70th minute. Worked hard but didn’t have many chances.
Garath McCleary 6: Looked bright in his half an hour spell and marked his appearance with a goal, stealing the ball from the Luton defence before finishing calmly.

Danny Loader N/A: Replaced Baldock late in the game but didn’t have time to make an impact.
