Don’t ignore me!

I have been here since Aurora’s first song

and will be here in its agonal gasp.

I have cloistered you

in my celestial blanket

and although I sometimes bleed

REVIEW: Making magic with Norden Farm’s The Comet

on a spectacular day

I am a wonder to behold.

so arch your necks backwards

and let me wash over your eyes.

Don’t deny me!

I have sheltered you from the gathering storms

and will protect you from the rising tides.

I have been your custodian,

watching over your shifting valleys

and when you trace my alpine fingers

I become your periscope to the moon

so look up from your screens

and gaze upon my magnificence.

Don’t destroy me!

I have nurtured the air to fill your lungs

whilst giving poetry to your eyes

and when you sail through my emerald winds,

please remember,

I am your stairway to the stars

so lay down your axe

and lose yourself in my nirvana.

Don’t poison me!

I am the lifeblood that runs through your capillaries

propelling you to new horizons.

whether frothing elemental or idly lapping

I am the gateway to unity

so enter my waters

and let me soothe your soul.

Please, listen to me!

I am your mother that cradles you

and will always love you

but my bleeding womb

can’t hold on.
