POLICE are urging Wokingham residents to check if they have been burgled, following an arrest this morning.
Officers were called out to Oxford Road at 4.30am following a report of a suspicious man in someone’s garage.
A spokesperson for TVP Bracknell and Wokingham said on social media that officers flooded the area over the next hour.
This included a Police Dog Handler and his Police Dog, Hooch.
While a man was detained, PD Hooch was hard at work tracking a scent, the spokesperson said.
This led back to the detained man, who was then arrested for burglary.
“PD Hooch one, Burglar nil,” the spokesperson said. “Please can all residents on Oxford Road check their garages to make sure they are not victims of crime.”
Anyone the believes they were burgled is urged to contact the force on 101 and make a report.
