POLICE are hunting for a gang of young yobs who threw stones at cars in Norreys earlier this month.
The incident took place around 5.30pm on Tuesday, June 5 and was shared by Thames Valley Police a day after The Wokingham Paper launched its focus on anti-social behaviour across the borough.
The gang were seen first throwing stones in Norreys Avenue before moving to Barrett Crescent, where they hurled abuse at a member of the public before going to London Road.
PC 2322 Helen Craven from the Wokingham Neighbourhood Team said the force would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this Anti-Social Behaviour or may have information that would help identify these individuals.
Last week, we reported that a taxi driver had been verbally and racially abused in Barrett Crescent around 6.30pm on the same evening.
At the time, police said that one of the boys is described as around 16-years-old, of mixed race, with protruding ears.
Another boy is described as slim and tall, of mixed race with a thin moustache, also around 16- years-old.
The other suspects are described as being aged between 12- and 16-years-old and both male and female.
Investigating officer, PC Helen Craven based at Loddon Valley Police Station said: “During this incident, a man was verbally and racially abused by a group of young people.
“We would like to hear from anyone who saw this group before or during the incident.
“It is thought the same group were on the Norreys Estate between 5.30pm and 6.45pm on the same evening and were seen throwing stones off people’s driveways.
“This group could be linked to several similar incidents and we are keen to identify the individuals involved.
