Police in Bracknell have made several arrests and seized multiple vehicles during a series of incidents on Saturday evening as part of an ongoing effort to tackle illegal driving in the Wokingham area.
Thames Valley Police said an individual was detained on Saturday, 15 November, after being caught riding an illegal e-bike along a pedestrian path in the town. Officers confiscated the bike at the scene.
Shortly afterwards, a moped was stopped after it was seen travelling along a footpath near Finchampstead Road, close to Tesco and the Molly Millars Lane roundabout.
In a separate incident, officers arrested a person near the Aldi store on Wellington Road following reports of behaviour that was allegedly causing disruption to local businesses and members of the public.
Later that evening, a car was seized in the Lidl car park on Ashville Way after officers witnessed it performing doughnuts. Police said subsequent checks revealed the driver had no insurance, no MOT and had not taxed the vehicle. The man was issued with a ticket for the offences before the car was removed.
In a statement, Thames Valley Police urged residents to continue reporting illegal or anti-social driving, adding: “We will make sure it’s our mission to get Wokingham residents the safety they deserve.”
