Premier League side Southampton have reportedly tabled a bid for Reading FC’s teenage star Andre Garcia.
The 17-year-old has flourished in League One this season for the Royals since being given first-team opportunities by Ruben Selles and now Noel Hunt.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Southampton has offered a package worth around £2m for Garcia.
He also stated that the Saints submitted a bid last week which was rejected, but have come back with an improved offer.
Garcia has caught the attention of several clubs since breaking into the Reading first-team at the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
He has played the majority of his football in the first-team at left-back, but is also able to play further forward on the left-wing.
He has made a total of 24 appearances in all competitions this season, including 19 League One appearances.
