Progress is being made on plans for a new sixth form centre at a secondary school in Wokingham.
The project for a new sixth form at Emmbrook School was first given the go-ahead in March 2023.
Recently, phasing for works to create the sixth form and the details required to protect trees have been approved.
That is just one of the planning updates for the area that happened just before Christmas.
Elsewhere, the legal status of a building containing four homes on a farm north of Bracknell has been confirmed, and a plan to create new homes next to existing flats in a village in Berkshire has been withdrawn.

Progress on project for new sixth form (Wokingham app 252906)
Plans are moving ahead to create a new sixth form at Emmbrook School in Wokingham.
The project involves the demolition of an existing administration block to be replaced with a two-storey building for Year 12 and 13 students.
The plan was approved with conditions by Wokingham Borough Council in March 2023.
Planning agents appointed for the school have recently won permission for the phasing of development and tree protection measures, which were required prior to work beginning.
Homes plan next to flats withdrawn (Bracknell app 25/00565/OUT)
A plan to create new homes next to existing flats in a village in Berkshire has been withdrawn.
Last October, a developer submitted a plan to build two semi-detached homes to the rear of the Paddock Gate flats in North Street, Cranbourne.
The homes would have come with three bedrooms, a family bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area downstairs.
Although the plan was only submitted on outline, the developer has since withdrawn the application for the project.
Legal status of four farm homes confirmed (Bracknell app 25/00688/LDC)
The legal status of a former agricultural building containing four homes in Warfield has been confirmed.
The building was previously used for milk production at Scotlands Farm in Newell Green.
Four occupants signed sworn affidavits confirming they are tenants of the landowner, which were submitted as proof of the conversion of the building.
A legal certificate confirming the lawful use of the building as housing was duly granted last month.
Shop fridge conditioning unit (Wokingham app 252600)
A condensing unit for refrigeration at Swallowfield Parish Stores has been approved.
Assessing the project, a planning officer wrote: “The proposed modern unit would ensure the shop can continue to operate and function to serve the local community whilst committing to modern energy performance standards which aim to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
“Therefore, the proposal is considered to bring positive change to the existing local facility which would bring further environmental, social and economic benefits to the local community.”
