ANSSI JAAKKOLA: Surprisingly quiet afternoon. Made a brilliant late stop to deny Pereira and was left exposed for both goals. Decent display and appears to have nailed down number one spot – 7

ANDY YIADOM: A constant threat in attack, twice going close and shifted to centre-back for the second half but was given a tough time by Sanchez – 6

TIAGO ILORI: Defended solidly but looked hampered by a heavy fall which eventually forced him off at half-time – 7

LIAM MOORE: Confident start, bringing the ball out from the back and making blocks. Showed signs of his top form – 8

OMAR RICHARDS: Tripped Mata for the penalty but recovered to make a vital challenge on Sanchez. Improved in the second half – 6

CALLUM HARRIOTT: First start in over two years and tried his luck on a number of occasions, working hard until being subbed off – 7

JOHN SWIFT: Gave the ball away for the second goal but generally looked after the ball well – 6

SUBS:

SONE ALUKO: Looked after the ball well in the final third and played a couple of key passes around the box – 6

MODOU BARROW: His pace caused problems after being introduced for the final half an hour – 6

YAKOU MEITE: Little time to make much of an impact. Shot over the bar from an offside position in one of his only touches – 5
