Reading FC has completed the signing of former Cambridge United player Harvey Knibbs on a free transfer.
The Royals are currently on a pre-season training camp in Spain as they prepare for the new league campaign in League One under new manager Ruben Selles.
The attacker will join the Royals as a free agent after he departed Cambridge United in the summer.
The 24-year-old has spent four seasons with the U’s in both League Two and League One.
Knibbs scored nine times in 47 appearances in League Two for Cambridge and then scored nine goals in 74 games in League One in the previous two campaigns.
He started his youth career in 2015 with Nottingham Forest and then moved to Aston Villa, where he spent four years before moving to Cambridge in 2019.
Head of Football Operations, Mark Bowen, said: “Harvey has been on our radar for some time now and we are very pleased he has agreed to sign a contract with us. Young, quick, hungry, hard-working and with a natural creative spark, I am delighted he has agreed to be a part of what we are striving to achieve at Reading.”
