Reading FC have announced midfielder Tivonge Rushesha has signed a contract extension with the club until next summer.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined the Royals last summer on a free transfer from Swansea City.
He made a total of 11 first team appearances for Ruben Selles’ side last campaign which included four League One, three EFL Cup and three EFL Trophy games.
He made his debut for the Royals in the opening day defeat to Peterborough in the 2023/24 season as a second-half substitute.
He then made his first start in an impressive 4-0 victory over Championship side Millwall in the EFL Cup.
He proved to be a versatile option for the manager to call on having appeared in central midfield and also at full-back.
Head of football operations Mark Bowen said: “We’re very happy to secure the signature of Tiv for the upcoming season.
“His attitude and application around both the first-team and under 21 sides has been exceptional throughout his first year, and we are all looking forward to seeing him continue his development with us.”
