A Wokingham town centre bar is planning to mark the passing of two musical legends with a special weekend.
Starting tonight and continuing through to Sunday, The Redan in Peach Street will be holding the tribute event in honour of Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister and the pop icon David Bowie.
A post on its Facebook page said: “David Bowie has unfortunately left us! The Redan will honour his passing and dedicate this week to his memory! Feel free to come this weekend dressed in his honour! Long live his music and inspiration!”
The bar also has some murals painted by street artist Pistol that show Bowie in his prime and as Ziggy Stardust.
As part of the commemorations, there will be tribute beer, wine and cocktails, and no doubt music from the two musical giants will be played.
