Drivers are being advised to plan ahead as a number of roads across Wokingham, Twyford and Reading are set to close for community Christmas events over the coming weeks.
In Wokingham, Peach Street, Denmark Street and Broad Street will be closed throughout Sunday 30 November for the Wokingham Winter Carnival, organised by the Lions Club.
Rose Street will also be closed at its junction with Broad Street.
The council said parking will be limited and is encouraging visitors to use public transport, with some temporary bus stops in place to accommodate diversions.
Rail passengers are also being advised to plan ahead, as train services between Bracknell and Reading — including Wokingham, Winnersh, Winnersh Triangle and Earley — will be suspended all day for maintenance.
Replacement buses will operate on both South Western Railway and Great Western Railway routes.
In Twyford, London Road will be closed from the crossroads to Jubilee Corner on the evening of Friday 5 December for the Twyford Together Christmas Fayre.
Two further festive events will take place on Sunday 7 December.
The Woodley Christmas Extravaganza will run from 10:00 to 15:00 at Woodley Precinct, while the Reading Christian Motorcyclists’ annual Toy Run will see rolling road closures from 13:00.
The toy run will travel from Thames Valley Science Park in Shinfield to High Close School in Wokingham, passing through Lower Earley Way and Reading Road.
Drivers are encouraged to check the latest travel information before setting out.
