MEMBERS of Shinfield Baptist Church held a church service with a big difference last month – it was a day of pancake races.
The congregation, which meets at Shinfield Parish Hall in School Green, held a cafe style service with the savoury treat in preparation for Lent, which started last Wednesday.
At the end of the gathering, members went into the parish hall car park for a series of fun pancake races in which dads, mums and children battled it out to see who could toss their pancake while running.
The church also organised races on Shrove Tuesday at School Green.
