SHINFIELD 3rd XI captain Emil Reisser-Weston is urging new players to join up to the club.
It has been a memorable season for Shinfield with the 1st and 2nd XIs winning their respective divisions while the under-9s and under-11s also enjoyed huge success.
The club has this year invested in outdoor nets and covers donated by Checkenden CC, allowing coaching at all age levels.
There is also now a 3rd XI, which offers a good mix of many new cricketers and also those looking to get back into the game with an age range of over 40 years in the side.
“I would really encourage anyone thinking about getting back into cricket or wanting to move from junior to the senior game to get in touch via the Shinfield website,” said Reisser-Weston.
“We are a super friendly club and accommodate all abilities, ages and – since probably our best bowler is Ellen Tiffin – I have to say sexes.”
Shinfield winter nets are due to start in January at Crosfields School.
