Simon Dimmick, a partner in Blandy & Blandy LLP’s leading Planning and Environmental law team, received the flagship ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award at the 2018 Thames Valley Property Awards.
Now in their fifth year, the Awards were held at Ascot Racecourse and hosted by TV presenter, broadcaster and former England rugby union player Martin Bayfield, with 700 guests from across the property sector attending.
The evening celebrated the achievements of developers, agents, planners, consultants, lawyers and dealmakers.
After London, the Thames Valley is the next largest property market in the UK by volume of deals and density.
According to the organisers, “This Outstanding Achievement award is presented to a stand-out person who has promoted and created success in the execution of property strategy across the region and, more importantly, has been involved with the promotion of the Thames Valley as a great place in which to do business.”
Prior to receiving the award, Simon was introduced as a solicitor ‘recognised for his reputation as one of the leading planning experts in the South East who advises on strategy and development for several major landowner clients.’
Simon said that he was “gobsmacked” and “humbled” to receive the award and thanked the judges and those who had endorsed his nomination.
“I had no idea. I’ve been so fortunate to work with so many truly excellent people and teams over the years,” he said.
In particular, he praised fellow partner and team head Karen Jones and associate solicitor Victoria Charlesson.
