MEMBERS of a keep fit group gathered to work up a sweat while raising money for charity.
Crowthorne’s FBC Centre main hall was filled with SimplyFit Berkshire exercisers, keen to support the group’s annual aerobathon.
Melissa Buckle, owner of SimplyFit, and her colleague Alex, decided to dedicate their energetic fundraiser to the Motor Neurone Disease MND Association for Reading and West Berkshire.
“It’s the fourth aerobic fundraiser I’ve been part of, and it went really well,” said Ms Buckle.
“The atmosphere was buzzing, the room was full, and the energy was brilliant.
“Alex and I worked together, taking turns to lead aerobic routines for around 100 people who came along.
“We’d really like to thank them all for their support, for giving us their best moves and energy – and for all their money.
“We’ve raised an awful lot of money for MND, and it has been brilliant.”

The event raised a total of £2,555.
“A number of our members’ lives have been affected by motor neurone disease, either family members or friends,” explained Ms Buckle, “so it’s a charity that touches a lot of people’s hearts.
“The money will go directly to the Reading and West Berkshire branch of MND, to support families locally.
“And of course, it’s so much fun that we’ll be doing the same thing again next year.”
