Here at Siren we take beer seriously. But whether it’s the brew team, our marketers, warehouse staff, drivers or any of the other countless members of the crew that make us who we are – every day starts the same way. With a coffee.
This means that we also take our coffee seriously. But we don’t just drink it, of course we use it as a key ingredient in the brewing process too. In fact, our flagship stout and one time Champion Beer of Britain, Broken Dream contains the same coffee that we use to get our own morning perk.
And so, we feel that coffee, and beer, and beer with coffee should be celebrated. Long time followers will remember “Project Barista”, and we’re delighted to announce that it’s back. For those of you that name is new to, it’s a coffee celebration in which we brew four unique beers using coffee from different coffee roasters. Not only that but we’re also hosting another big beer festival at the Tap Yard, in Finchampstead – this time out, it’s more family friendly than ever.
There’ll be more information about each of the four coffee beers across our website and social media soon, but for now we can tell you that we’re very excited about these beers, which contain coffee from local heroes Anonymous Coffee, as well as Origin Coffee (Cornwall/London), Hard Lines (Cardiff) and Climpson and Sons (London).
Project Barista Summer Beer Festival
These beers will be launched at our summer beer festival on Saturday 20th July, alongside 30+ lines of all sorts of different beers pouring. We’ll also have coffee roasters, street food galore (including everyone’s favourite Killa Waffles) and live entertainment. For the kids we’ve got a bouncy castle and face painting. Tickets are just £5 which includes entry and a festival cup to take home, free entry for kids as long as they’re with a ticket holding adults.
