SQUIRE’S Hare Hatch is proud to announce its Charity of the Year partner.
The garden centre has chosen to support local organisation Age Concern Twyford & District.
The group provides vital services and support for older people in the Twyford area, and as Squire’s Chosen Charity will benefit from fundraising initiatives and awareness-raising activities organised by the Squire’s Hare Hatch team throughout the year.
As part of Squire’s ongoing ‘Charity of the Year’ programme, each garden centre chooses a local organisation close to the hearts of its team members, and relevant to the local community.
This year, Squire’s Hare Hatch is delighted to partner with Age Concern Twyford & District, whose work plays a crucial role in enriching the lives of older members of the community through companionship, support services and social activities.
Graham Fitsell, Squire’s Hare Hatch Centre Manager, said: “We’re really looking forward to working with Age Concern Twyford & District.
“They are a fantastic local charity doing incredible work and we’re looking forward to getting involved and helping raise both funds and awareness.
“Supporting the community is an important part of Squire’s ethos and we’re proud to partner with a community group that brings so much to local lives.
“Over the coming year, we will work on a number of fundraising initiatives together which will spread the word about the work of Age Concern Twyford & District.”
Alan Boyle, Centre Manager at Age Concern Twyford & District, said: “We are delighted to be chosen as Squire’s Hare Hatch’s Charity of the Year.
“This partnership is a great opportunity for us to work with a local business at the heart of the community and we’re really looking forward to collaborating with Graham and the team. “Their support will make a difference, and contribute to helping us continue to provide our much-needed services.”
The partnership marks the beginning of a meaningful collaboration, with plenty of opportunities for customers and the local community to get involved and show their support.
Graham added: “We are looking forward to hosting our first event for the charity, a coffee morning, to be held at Hare Hatch on Monday July 7, from 9am until 11am.
From the sale of each hot drink that day, £1 will be donated to Age Concern Twyford & District, and the charity will attend to talk to customers about their work.”
