A SINDLESHAM school was filled with excitement when a professional boxer came to talk to the children about his career.
Jordan Thompson shared his inspiring sports journey with youngsters from Bearwood Primary School.
During his successful career Jordon has had 16 professional fights, with 15 wins -12 by knockout – and is currently rated number six in the world.
But he’s not only a successful boxer.
Jordon also works for Youth Charter, a charity and UN NGO set up by his parents.
Bearwood Primary School was delighted to welcome him.
He spoke at an assembly, and shared his achievements in a variety of sports.
His career has seen him play at a national level in athletics, swimming and lacrosse as well as being a tennis star, and attending Manchester City’s youth academy.
Most importantly he talked about how he managed to become successful and to accomplish so much in life.
Bearwood Primary School’s vision statement is: Aspire, Succeed, Excel.
Jordan echoed this, in his message that by believing in yourself and with determination, resilience and hard work, anyone can experience success and achievement.
After the assembly, Jordan toured the school visiting the children in their classrooms where they had the opportunity to ask questions.
