Wokingham has been ranked as the sixth most affordable location to rent property in the country.
Recent analysis published by housing specialists homestratosphere.com assessed rental conditions across counties and unitary districts in England.
The findings placed Wokingham in sixth place nationally.
The rankings are based on government data including median monthly gross pay, and median rent. Wokingham residents earn a median monthly wage of £2,960 while average rent stands at £1,100.
Rutland was deemed to be the most affordable location, with Westminster being named as the least affordable.
Wokingham real estate agent David Cliff was sceptical of the figures.
He told Wokingham Today: “I’m somewhat surprised that Wokingham is ranked so highly.”
