A CHARITY football tournament was held last month.
The Ollie Cup, organised by the Ollie Young Foundation, took place on Sunday June 12, at Woodford Park in Woodley.
Eight teams competed in the 7-a-side tournament as part of the foundation’s 10 for 10 campaign.
The campaign sees 10 special events take place across 2022 to mark the tenth anniversary of the charity’s founding.
Cougars FC were crowned champions for the first time after a close-fought final with Wokingham Vets.
A spokesperson for the foundation said: “It was an amazing day.
“The atmosphere was buzzing and it was just great. The final was a very close game with both teams battling it out with every last breath.
“I would like to thank everyone who took part in the tournament and gave it their all.
“And thanks also to all our volunteers and referees on the day too, you all made this possible and we’ve had such a memorable day.”
The Ollie Young Foundation now looks forward to its next 10 for 10 event in August
A summer fun day will take place at Reddam House in Sindlesham on Sunday, August 14.
