Thames Valley Cricket round-up: Eversley thrash Marlow to stay in second

Division 2A

Eversley gave Marlow a ten wicket beating to remain in second place in the division. They skittled Marlow all out for 115 before surpassing the total after just 19 overs without dropping a wicket. 

Division 2B

Hurst dropped to fourth place after they were defeated by two wickets by Reading. They were bowled all out for 136 before Reading reached the target in a close match with just two wickets to spare.

Division 3A

Binfield added another win to their tally as they extended their long stay at the summit of the division with an eight wicket win over Cove 2s. Tom Andrews took 4-47 to dismiss Cove all out for 95 before they batted their way comfortably to victory after 19 overs.

Wokingham 2s stay in second place after they defeated Finchampstead 3s by seven wickets. 

Division 4A

Wokingham 3s were unable to bridge the gap between them and top of the table Sonning as they were beaten by four wickets. 

The Oaks posted a first innings total of 179 before they were bowled all out as Abbas took an impressive 4-45. 

Richards and Dean both fell one run short of reaching half centuries but their contributions would help significantly as Sonning surpassed the target after 41.4 overs.

White Waltham remain in third position, just behind Wokingham, after they beat Theale & Tilehurst by four wickets. 

Theale produced a strong first innings as they set White Waltham a challenging total of 239 to win the game. White Waltham batted superbly to maintain the run rate as they reached victory after 47 overs with Andy Elliot top scoring with 70 not out. 

Wargrave 2s climbed up to fourth in the table despite narrowly losing out to Bagshot 2s by just 16 runs. Salman Khalid put in a brilliant all round performance taking 4-78 in the first innings before knocking 83 runs in the second, however Wargrave would fall just short. 

Division 5B

Eversley 2s extended their stay at the top of the league with a two wicket victory over Aldershot. 

Eversley skittled Aldershot all out for 122 after 35 overs and reached the target after 33 overs with just two wickets to spare in a closely fought match.

Meanwhile, Binfield 2s moved up to third place with a five wicket triumph over Boyne Hill 3s. 

Division 6B

Sonning 2s remain in fourth place after they beat Cove 3s by five wickets, while Finchampstead 4s played out a stalemate with Sulhamstead & Ufton 2s.

Division 7A

Wargrave 3s stay in the hunt for promotion in second place after they beat Maidenhead & Bray by five wickets in a high scoring battle which saw Wargrave take victory with 232 runs. 

Wokingham 4s stay in sixth after they picked up an impressive two wicket win against Kidmore End 2s as they successfully chased down 239 runs from 50 overs. 

Binfield 3s moved up to seventh place after they beat Aldershot 3s by four wickets. 

Division 8A

Eversley 3s rout of the division continued as they recorded their 13th successive win of the season with a 29-run win over Bracknell 2s. 

Wokingham 5s climbed up to third in the table with a comprehensive seven wicket victory over Royal Ascot 4s. 

Meanwhile, Finchampstead 5s were thrashed by 143 runs by second placed Bradfield 2s. 

Division 9A

Sonning 3s slipped down to seventh after they were beaten by 43 runs by Yateley 2s, while Wargrave 4s beat second placed Marlow Park by two wickets.
Eversley 4s moved up to sixth after Newbury 3s forfeited their fixture. Wokingham Oaks & Acorns also moved up to 11th as a result of Kidmore End 3s forfeiting their match.
