THAMES Valley Police is set to start recruiting police officers as part of a large-scale drive to get more constables on the street.
The recruitment drive is due to start on Monday (27), with the force aiming to sign up around 200 new officers.
The largest non-metropolitan force in the country offers a range of urban and rural policing opportunities, and is looking for recruits who want to develop their skills while transforming the lives of local people.
In a statement released today (Tuesday), Thames Valley Police (TVP) said it is keen to recruit people with a wide range of skills and experiences and an understanding of cultural issues.
A review of the educational requirements for anyone wanting to join the force is also being undertaken, with candidates required to hold at least two A-Levels graded A-E, or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.
Sally Farley, TVP’s People Services Advisor said: “We are seeking the very best to join our ranks – the ideal candidates will be individuals who are honest, enthusiastic and hard working. If you believe you have what it takes to be part of our team then we would love to hear from you.
“It’s a challenging role, but with first class training and opportunities for promotion and specialisation, it’s a rewarding career that continues to make a genuine difference for our communities.”
A live web chat has been planned for Thursday 23 February which will offer people the opportunity to find out more about the recruitment process and ask any questions they may have. The web chat will begin at 1pm and is available to view online from any smartphone, tablet or computer.
Candidates must attend an eligibility appointment prior to submitting their application. These appointments are limited in number and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Further information about how to book your appointment will be available on our website from Monday 27 February when recruitment opens.
Potential candidates with any queries are encouraged to email the TVP recruitment team on [email protected].
