A RESPECTED theologian will be visiting Reading this Saturday to take part in a question and answer session about her book.
Karen Armstrong will be speaking at Reading Minster in Chain Street about Sacred Nature, which explores the climate emergency.
She argues that if the global population wants to avert environmental catastrophe, we need to learn to think and feel differently about the natural world, as well as taking action. This will, she adds, rekindle a spiritual bond with nature.
She says the book is for anyone interested in humanity’s relationship with nature, worried about the destruction of our environment, and searching for new ways of thinking to shape the action needed to save our planet.
The event includes a presentation by Ms Armstrong, an interview and a chance to buy signed copies.
It is sponsored by Reading Minster with the support of Reading’s Café Theologique and the World Congress of Faiths, and takes place from 6pm to 7.30pm, on Saturday, July 8.
