There’s quite literally something in the water in Finchampstead, with the news that the Marino Way-based Siren Craft Brew has revealed its biggest collaborative project to-date.
The beer, named Something in the Water, is a red berry sour beer inspired by 20th Century Studios Alien: Romulus which is currently in cinemas.
It is a limited edition and is available immediately, featuring poster artwork supporting the movie, and with cans individually numbered.
It’s described as a zingy sour beer, brewed with cherries and red berries for delicious, refreshing fruitiness and tangy sweet and sour flavours.
Darron Anley, the founder of Siren Craft Brew, said:“Alien is my favourite film franchise of all time.
“ I’ve even named all of my dogs after characters from the movies – so being able to work on this beer in collaboration with the latest release is a real honour.
“I love how Fede Alvarez has approached Alien: Romulus with a love for the franchise, respect for the canon and a hands-on, DIY process to the film making.
“Not only does this resonate with Siren in ethos, the bright red, acidic beer works perfectly with the themes of the film.”
Andy Nowlan, Siren Craft Brew’s head of marketing, added: “Siren is known for adventurous beers and collaborations, but this one is particularly special.
“Being trusted to celebrate an iconic franchise is amazing for a small, independent brewery like ours.
“We can’t wait for everyone to see these beautiful cans and enjoy a refreshing sour beer this summer.”
Something In The Water is available now in 440ml cans from sirencraftbrew.comand Siren’s own venues in Finchampstead and Reading town centre, along with independent pubs, bottle shops and cinemas across the UK.
