Wokingham borough council is advertising for a town centre development officer to implement its town centres strategy.
The full-time, two-year for the role as part of the economic development team is seen as crucial to support and develop the main town centres in central Wokingham, Woodley, and Twyford.
The job involves leading the implementation of the recently adopted town centre strategy, working with businesses and partners to boost economic vitality.
The council is seeking an experienced and dynamic individualto help shape the future of the borough through innovation and collaboration.
Key requirements include town centre business development experience, or experience in developing or managing a business improvement district (BID).
Cllr Mark Ashwell, executive for business development, sports and the arts, said: “I’d urge anyone with the experience and passion to make a real difference to our town centres to get in touch.”
The salary for the position is listed in the £35,235 – £38,626 per annum range, plus benefits.
