It’s going to be a slow journey to and from work or school for commuters and pupils today, and every day, for the next five months.
Motorists will find getting through Wokingham takes longer than usual, due to the knock-on effects of diversions in the town.
Molly Millars Lane is currently subject to phased closures as part of the South Wokingham Distributor Road project.
With the initial closure at the eastern end of the road recently ended, closure has moved to the northern approach of the Finchamstead Road roundabout, and is expected to last until early 2026.

The overall project aims to improve traffic flow by building a new roundabout at the Finchampstead Road and Molly Millars Lane junction.
But with diversions in place, traffic is building up daily on a number of Wokingham Roads.
Long queues have been reported at numerous locations, including: Reading Road, Barkham Road, Oxford Road, Station Road, Eastheath Avenue, and Easthampstead Road.
Furious motorists are taking to social media to express their frustration.
“Wokingham is gridlocked by 8am said one.”
“It’s only going to get worse,” said another.
