AN ANNUAL event in Twyford gathered hundreds to sample beers and enjoy music from borough bands.
Organised by Ian Wisdom and his team, Twyford Beer Festival is a fundraiser for male cancer charity, Orchid.
It takes place at Stanlake Meadow Recreation Ground, on a long June weekend, and every year offers a fun family day out, with beers, ciders, and soft drinks to enjoy with food and entertainment.
Reading Floyd tribute band Crazy Diamond opened the festival on Thursday evening, with their show, Wish You Were Here.
Describing themselves as passionate Pink Floyd fans they transported audiences back to the days of Pink Floyd.
On Friday, bands Dream Sellers, Savour The Flavour, Within The Blood, Dino’s, and The People’s Front of Judea entertained the crowds.
On Saturday New Tricks, The Absolute Gentlemen, Dropzone, Bottle Kids, Big Audio Twynamite, and Euphoria took to the stage.
Families enjoyed the party atmosphere, and the chance to sample brews.
The organisers give their time for the festival for free, to support Orchid.
The charity has been working to save men’s lives from testicular, penile and prostate cancer through a range of support services, education, awareness campaigns, and research.
It offers a free helpline for anyone who has been affected by male cancer, with access to nurses, information and support.
