A TORCHLIT vigil will be held in Wokingham town centre, calling for an end to gender-based violence.
The event is part of 16 days of activism between November 25 and December 10, which is International Human Rights Day.
The vigil will remember those who have lost their lives in the past year due to femicide. Organisers say there are 100 such deaths every day across the world.
It runs from 7pm and organisers include Evendons ward councillor Sarah Kerr, and former Wokingham town mayor Maria Gee.
People taking part are invited to gather around the town hall in Wokingham’s Market Place.
