Sight loss can take away independence and confidence, and leave those affected isolated. Berkshire Vision supports hundreds of visually impaired children and adults, helping them to live their lives to the full.
Helping our members to be independent is important to us.
We have many volunteer roles available. These include volunteering as a Realeyes Guide.
As a Realeyes Guide for Berkshire Vision you will be matched with one of our visually impaired members to help them accomplish a goal that will help them become more independent.
Some examples include guiding and supporting them to learn and practice a route to the local coffee shop or gym, to navigate a route to the train station, to get a bus into town or to practice the route to work or college.
We are also looking for sports and activities volunteers, telephone befrienders, tech buddies and information and event volunteers.
For more information on how you can get involved, please get in touch.
