CANDIDATES for the Wokingham parliamentary constituency will come together for a special hustings event next month.
Organised by Churches Together in Wokingham, it will be held at Wokingham Baptist Church in Milton Road, from 7.30pm on Friday, December 6.
Confirmed as attending so far are Dr Phillip Lee, the Liberal Democrat candidate; Dr Annette Medhurst, the Labour Party candidate; and Sir John Redwood, the Conservatives candidate.
Annabel Mullins, who is standing for Advance Together, is unable to attend, and the Green Party candidate, Kizzi Johannessen, has yet to confirm her availability.
Questions can be submitted on the night, but have to be in writing. They will be chosen to represent a variety of topics.
Doors will open at 7pm and entry is free.
Wokingham parliamentary constituency, which includes parts of West Berkshire, is considered to be a target seat for the Liberal Democrats, with recent polling suggesting that they could snatch the seat from Sir John Redwood.
Labour came second in the 2017 General Election, and Sir John has held the seat since 1987.
