REGISTRATION is now open for one of the borough’s newest charity events, The Wokingham Walk.
Walkers can choose to complete a five-mile or a 15-mile walk in support of the Mayor’s chosen charity ARC, which offers free and confidential counselling support to children and adults across the borough.
The event starts and finishes at Elms Field with walkers registering from 9am before setting out on their chosen route. The longer route goes down towards Sandhurst and back through Finchampstead and California Country Park, while the shorter route heads toward Nine Mile Ride before turning back towards Wokingham town centre.
Entry costs £15 for those 18 years and over, £5 for walkers aged 12 to 17, and free for under 12s.
