A SPECIAL playlist for you this week as our thoughts turn to the two big festivals taking place in Reading and Wokingham this weekend.
It’s music heaven for everyone. With so many bands performing, there really is something for all to enjoy.
All of the acts in this week’s playlist are appearing at Cantley Park this weekend and we think you’ll love them. Come along and find out. There is, of course, more to the festival than just the music and it is family-friendly.

The BJ Bevy – Honey, Why I Treat You So Wrong?
We popped into the tent for the second stage last year at Wokingham Festival, when this band were playing, and were knocked out by the incredible atmosphere.
The place was jumping with the crowd dancing along to an energetic exciting live performance. Caravan – Golf Girl
It was great that the founding member of the band, Pye Hastings, took the time to chat with the paper ahead of their headlining appearance next Monday at Wokingham Festival.
Here’s a song from that classic album, In the Land of Grey and Pink, and it’s a wonderfully whimsical love song with lyrics that will always make you smile combined with Caravan’s unique musical sound.

We don‘t usually include tribute bands in our feature as we like to focus on originals.
However, we’ve heard how good Skylines – A Tribute to Camel are and they are at Wokingham Festival on Monday.

Spacehopper – Pure Essence (Dub)
Headlining on the same night (Sunday, August 27) as Tankus the Henge but on the second stage at Wokingham Festival will be the sounds of trance and dub with Spacehopper. Rocket Kings – Space Camp
This Reading band are at Wokingham Festival on the Sunday main stage.
