Heavy rain forecast to fall over Wokingham this afternoon could result in some localised flooding, the Met Office has warned.
A yellow ‘be prepared’ warning has been issued for areas within London and the south east, which will be active from midday to 10pm this evening.
Rain has been falling across the borough throughout the morning, but is expected to get heavier later in the day.
Doubt does remain over how much rain will fall exactly, but some places could see as much as 15millimetres within an hour.
Levels, though, could well topple the 40mm mark over several hours, prompting meteorologists to advise about the risk of local flooding and potential disruption to transport networks.
The rain is expected to clear completely late on Monday evening.
