FLY-TIPPING in the recycling area of a Crowthorne car park is becoming a serious concern for residents and the council.
The village’s Lidle facility is seeing an increase in this activity and Bracknell Forest Council is keen to clamp down on offenders.
Councillor Iskandar Jefferies lead member for culture, public protection and democracy, said: “We will not tolerate fly-tipping in our beautiful borough and I am pleased we are continuing to take action against those who think it is acceptable, or do not take responsibility for ensuring their rubbish is disposed of correctly.
“We investigate all reported fly-tips and if enough evidence is recovered, we will take action.”

Dumping rubbish at recycling areas is a form of fly tipping and can incur a fine of £400.
A criminal offence and one of the most common forms of anti-social behaviour, it blights the environment, pollutes, endangers public health, and encourages vermin.
It can also attract other forms of anti-social behaviour.
Following the recent incidents of fly-tipping in Crowthorne, officers from Bracknell Forest Council attended the area.
They have managed to identify two individuals and a local business from evidence they collected from the site.
These offenders will receive Fixed Penalty Notices.

Members of the public are asked to report all fly-tipping to their local council.
When using the Crowthorne recycling facilities, and and all other recycling areas, people are asked to take home any boxes they brought their recycling in, for recycling there, and not to leave them in the car park.
To report any information to help identify the Crowthorne fly-tipping offenders, people can email: [email protected] or call 01635 503242.
