THE NEW online platform is called The Wokingham Borough Observatory.
It gives easy access to a wide range of local health and wellbeing information and data about the borough and its residents, including economic and employment data, environmental data and information directly related to health outcomes.
Wokingham Borough Observatory is the new home for the Joint strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) statutory document.
Data that can be accessed through the Wokingham JSNA will be of interest to many users, including residents, businesses and service providers, particularly those working in public health and social care.
The JSNA is used by local authorities and clinical commissioning groups to assess current and future health, care and wellbeing needs of the local community, and to inform local decision-making.
Its information can also be used for planning service provision, writing bids for funding, research, and development of services.
And it will be useful to people simply interested in Wokingham Borough and the services available in the area.
Executive member for health, wellbeing and adult services, Cllr David Hare said:
“I am delighted to announce the launch of the Wokingham Borough Observatory, the new home of Wokingham JSNA.
“The platform is a valuable resource tool that is free for anyone to view and gather data from.
“The observatory is simple to use and can provide useful information to a wide range of residents and professionals.”
Wokingham Borough Council say the new site provides up-to-date and reliable data.
It is designed to enable the easy download of reports, graphics, data and statistics.
Users will be able to search for further statistics, filter their searches and make comparisons such as by local authority or borough ward and area.
