A FOREIGN-language film which stole the show at this year’s Oscars will be the latest offering by Wokingham Film Society next week.
Ida, written and directed by Oxford educated, Polish-born Pawel Pawlikowski whose previous films included My Summer of Love and Woman in the Fifth, tells the story of a young nun on the verge of taking her vows when she discovers a dark family secret dating back to the years of the Nazi occupation.
Refreshments will be on sale at the screening at the Bradbury Community Centre, Rose Street, on Thursday, November 12 at 7.30pm. Ticket prices on the door will be £4 for members, £6.50 for non-members.
