JUDGING has taken place in a contest to find the best gardens in Wokingham town.
Last week, members of Wokingham Horticultural Association (WHA) inspected entries for the annual Greenfingers competition, organised by Wokingham Town Council and Wokingham in Bloom.
Entrants were judged for Front, Back and Container Gardens as well as local Care Homes.
Judges said that despite being a challenging year for any gardener they were impressed with the efforts of local residents and turned a sympathetic eye to yellowing lawns.
The winning entries who will be notified in the coming days and will be invited to an Awards Evening in the Town Hall hosted by Wokingham town mayor, Cllr Julian Sumner-McGhee.
Wokingham Town Council said that they wanted to thank WHA for providing the judges for the competition and to all those who took part.
On Thursday, July 19, two judges from Thames and Chilterns in Bloom will visit to mark the whole town.
