Wokingham library is hosting an art exhibition aimed at reconnecting people to the joy of nature.
The works are by professional artist Liz Chaderton who is known for her skills painting birds and animals. She is giving ten per cent from each sale to the library.
The 14 paintings’ subjects range from a curious kangaroo to a domestic cat and an exotic toucan to a chicken.
“There are birds and animals I have encountered both near to home and on my travels,” she said.
“I believe our sense of wonder dims as we get stretched ever thinner by everyday life. My mission is to rekindle our wonder and hope through reconnecting people to the joy of nature.”
She is also taking part in the Henley Arts Trail from May 3 to 5, at an exhibition space loaned for the first time to the trail by Dolphin School at Hurst.
Another Hurst artist, Gaenor Green, will be exhibiting at Stanlake Park Wine Estate at Twyford which is also hosting the trail for the first time. Visit https://www.henleyartstrail.com for the arts trail details.
